Hutt Concrete Products has been in operation for 30+ years. Paddy McCarthy and Noel Higgison started the company early 1980's in a small workshop in Manor Park. Over time they expanded to 3 yards and a full range of products. They were the first industrial residents on Benmore Crescent which now is the home to other locally owned businesses. They started with manufacturing Reinforced Earth Panels for a company called

Reinforced Earth. Examples of this work are at the Haywards substation and the Seddon over bridge. They moved on to manufacturing Crib Retaining walls and Turf Slabs and continued expanding their production to cover a full range of precast products. This enabled them to begin supply to contractors like Fulton Hogan John Holland Joint Venture, Downer, and KiwiRail. These relationships continue to the present day.

Early 2015 Paddy on sold the business to Hayden Harvey. Hayden is an Industrial designer having qualified in the USA. Hayden’s skill set and vision has allowed the company to diversify and offer specialist design services. This takes the company to a new level of providing a complete design and manufacture package.
